We hereby issue an official statement in response to the incorrect and misleading portrayal of our business recently circulated in the media.
The published article presents an unfair and inaccurate picture of us as a company, an account that does not reflect our values or the reality of our day-to-day operations. It is also important to emphasize that the article is entirely based on our former premises in Lund, where we no longer conduct any business.
For the past 4.5 months, we have been operating in new, modern, and purpose-built facilities in Malmö, where we continue to develop and raise our standards further.
It is particularly concerning that a well-established newspaper such as Sydsvenskan chose to publish such serious claims without having visited our current premises in Malmö. We invited them to visit us together with their photographer, a meeting that was initially scheduled but then cancelled by the reporter, stating that they had already “seen” our factory. However, no such visit has taken place for several years. We would have gladly welcomed the opportunity to show our operations as they are today, in the spirit of transparency.
We take great pride in quality, craftsmanship, and responsibility from our choice of raw materials to our finished products. Our team is highly qualified and regularly participates in further training through one of the industry's leading providers. We hold both IP and BRC competencies, two strong guarantees that our production meets the highest standards in food safety and quality, in full compliance with Swedish legislation.
We are confident that our processes are safe, well-controlled, and follow best industry practices. It is therefore especially regrettable that some former employees, without full insight into our routines or professional ethics, have chosen to bring allegations to the media. We strongly deny these claims. We also want to emphasize that personal opinions and comments expressed by individuals in this context are not representative of our company. We maintain and enforce a strict Code of Conduct, which clearly defines ethical and professional behavior in our operations.
We would also like to clarify that we fully comply with Swedish law and accounting practices. All wages are declared correctly.
We are deeply sorry if the recent media coverage has caused concern. However, we also see this as an opportunity to show you who we truly are and what you, as our customers, can expect: our delicious muffins, handcrafted Dubai-style chocolate, biscuits, crispbread, jams, and handmade made pralines.
